Left there and rode some nice backroads to the ferry at the Rising Star Casino, still free 'till the end of May, and over to Rabbit Hash for a drink.

The ferry is interesting in that the raised pilot house is on an articulating arm, allowing it to position itself in the direction of travel. The photo shows it in transition, swinging around to the back of the boat on its pivot.

Also came across what may be my future residence if the market tanks and my pension follows it. lol

I wish I could help. We moved over the winter, and my first project was getting a garage built for toys. Must be a really good time to be a builder because I've called 7 companies about it, only got 2 to come out, and only one bothered to give me a price, which by my estimate was one of those "if he will pay that, I'll find the time" stupid high estimates.
I had what I thought was an easy completion end date of before next winter to get my stuff out of the house garage. It's starting to look like I'll be parking outside again next winter.

    Hey y’all,

I’m knew to advrider. Born and raised in Cincinnati but been off riding and working for over 10 years. Finally settling back in northern KY. I was hoping to get connected with some like minded people. Do y’all still have regular meetups?

I ride a BMW 1150gs. I have ridden all over this country and many others and I don’t see that ending in the near future. I’m a mechanic and woodworker. I would like to get connected with some people that get after it or at least talk about getting after it! New to posting on forums also so..... not sure what’s next after I post this.

    Thanks y’all

Trying to get a Saturday morning gathering going at Metro Scooter

    Cold Start Saturday at Metro

    June 1, 2019 @ 10AM to Noon

Casual Saturday morning hangout for two wheels of all sorts. Come hang out, drink some coffee, check out other bikes and launch rides. Let's kickstart something. Rain or shine.

I'm riding down to Red Mile on Saturday. I'll be leaving mid-morning and meandering backroads at a spirited pace. PM me if you're going and interested in meeting up for the ride down. Just announced.....Roger Hayden will be racing for Estenson Racing Yamaha. :thumbup

the group i was riding with is meeting at speedway in highland heights.
it's just off the AA, at the bottom of 1998.
i'm certain they are open to others riding with them.

i will be driving down later in the day.

FWIW - I've been told by a knowledgable source to stay away from this initial year version.

Rozzycat, can you elaborate a little on what you heard? I haven't heard of any troubles yet.

I'd rather not go into details given the source is a dealer who is super knowledgable and has carried KTM way longer than any dealer in the Cincinnati area. Their advice has always been "to never buy the first version of a new model." This one is certainly no exception especially given it's a brand new engine. Most defects won't show themselves for a while. Don't get me wrong....I'm going to get one. Just not yet. :-)

Thanks. Just wondered if you had heard of specific problems. Sounds like a general warning of first year surprises.
