    The prodigious view (taken during my spring Appalachian Adventure ride) from atop the grassy bald of "Max Patch". The Appalachian Trail hikers reach this amazing point-of-interest by foot on the earthy and narrow trail - while us Appalachian Trail bikers reach it by gravel, without fail, and not so much the pace of a snail.
