That is the stock fender that I cut up since it was going in the garbage anyway. Onther people have bought MX style fork protectors and installed them with zip ties but I dont like that and it looks cheesy!!! The cutting of the fender was really easy and I used a MAPP gas tourch afterwards on the cuut edges to smooth them out ;)

Now that you have mentioned this let me see what I can cone up with as a solution to avoid cutting up the stock fender and going with an mx style protector. Ive seen a few adaptors and maybe I can make one that could be universal???!!!

I'm not really a fan of the high fender look on these bikes but that one looks pretty good. Which fender is it?

I will be selling them shortly. Trying to finalize the kit...was thinking of including the Acerbis fender to make it a plug and play install...I will keep this thread up to date...I have other things in the works too :)

Bit off topic, but since you mentioned GPS mounts...any chance you would be interested in fabricating a descent GPS mount for the 1290 SAR/SAS? The one currently available is an over-engineered piece of crap. BTW Nice work on the fender mount. Definitely interested!

    I have this one:

It mounts between the two windshield posts and even with a light load flops around a bunch. I have a couple of ideas that I am trying out, but don't have machining access or skills like you do. My design is very simple and very sturdy. I can PM you with the details.

Some of us who may already have the Fender or want to replace an existing mounting bracket. Would definitely appreciate the option to buy just the bracket. Although I would defiantly want any screws or washers to come with it that may be required.

    Hey Guys,

Let me know how many of you are interested so I can get a rough count. The kit will include the Billet CNC bracket and the horn relocation tab with all necessary hardware.

$85 shipped to the contiguous USA

    Cheers

I would take both the high fender kit and the Touratech gps mount stabilizer.
