Thank you for your note, Nicoveto. Sorry to hear of your accident and your long recovery, but congratulations on seeing Red. I, too, love the Streetfighter and hope to have one parked next to my Panigale if and when I ever have a garage of my own.

I will most definitely take you up on your hospitable offer in Croatia and perhaps our paths will cross in July.....

You are too kind Dennis, too kind :) Sorry I've been out of touch for a while, my employer (a bank) has had me hot-desked in the bowels of Racoon City in a uber-secured no-outside-access intranet slaving away on a top-secret project. I'm not kidding - we team members weren't even allowed to talk about it to ourselves!! We all had to speak in code and were told whoever spoke about it openly even within the team would be fired. It was quite funny in a Yes Minister sort of way. Especially performing System and System Integration Testing on something someone can't actually talk about!

Am scanning flights as we speak (or write, rather). Would love to sneak a quick few days of Europe in; the other option is a few days in Asia? If you're going to be in Japan for the MotoGP let me know, my cousin & I are planning 1-2 weeks at MotoGP time. We're going to rent bikes and thrash about, get into the spirit of things. Let's just hope the Japanese Police look kindly upon such proclivities ;-)

Took your advice and started on this report. Having fun and many smiles and memories reading it. Don't know how I missed it the first go round. Must a been on the road somewhere's in the US or Canada. Still remember my 1st trip up Pike's Peak in '82 on my new '82 Yamaha XV920RH. Rain then rain and sleet to sleet and snow to snow on the top. Fun part was the muddy road going up and getting traction with street tires.
Have this bookmark and will enjoy reading on it daily. Thanks.

Happy to see this thread still being discovered and enjoyed.

Maybe it's just the Portuguese in California. I lived in a city with a lot of cemented in front yards....and they were all Portuguese.

(Kind of like the giant-sized wooden Fork and Spoon on the wall of many a Filipino house--or the oversized wooden spoon in the living room of the same house that the mom beats the kids and dog with.)

Add one more dude...as per your recommendation Im currently combing my way through this one as well. Super interesting reading about the origins of tis epic adventure of yours...pg 8 and counting....there goes my productivity at work for the next week or so.:lol3

Man....just lovin that your doing this all on the ani. Tested one last fall along with the new Hypermotard.....no comparison. The Hyper was just not very inspiring....which is odd as I loved the old one...but the 1199...:eek1.about sold all my bikes right then and there to get one. Such a great ride.....there will be one in the garage one day to be sure:evil

So I just found and started reading through this RR a few days ago and have been steadily making my way through when I came across this post. Thought to myself, isn't that guy that recently got busted for spying on his tenants? Yep, sure is. Link Might want to make sure you aren't unwilling starring in an R rated internet video Anti! Just goes to show that you never really know what people are really like behind their facades.

HOLY SHIT! Yes. This was the guy I stayed with for a week via AirBnB.
