LOL, any fellow rider who's 6'5"+ and built like an albatross (like me) is good in my book.

You have impeccable timing too :D

Correction! Doug is built lilke a brick wall! He makes the Dakar look small, but it fitted him like a glove.

He is huge and so is his heart..
I am glad i got the previlege to meet him along the way!

And so am i with all the others! Without exception.. I said it before and will say it again! The trip would not have been what it was without all of them,
    .

    Period!:freaky

    Hey, Paul

I'm trying to fill out my roster for the Ice Road trip next winter.

I think we could have you and Brandi Cramer riding shotgun and Steve Bond and myself as the book-ends LOL

    What say you, Bondo ?

Actually, I'm only 6 foot 3 so I don't know if I'd qualify. I'm sure I could talk to Norm Wells and he'd be only too glad to supply me with a motorcycle - especially for the coverage we get in the Star Wheels section.

As they say - "details to be finalized later."

It'd be different, that's for sure.

Hmmmmm...standards will need to be relaxed, but OK, I'm sure you'll make a fine book-end. :freaky

Watch the other thread to see what develops.
We can probably start making initial plans in about a month once I find out if it's even possible to do this.

Ok! before this gets out of hands.

After reading my reply I realized it did not come out the way i wanted to.

This is not about women or men! This is about riders..

My comment was that brandy from the paper seemed to be an adventurous rider.
And the little i talked about bikes with her gave me the impression she was the type of person who likes things like this..

And this sure has nothing to do with being a horn dog!! Just clearing that up.

This puppy does not make derogatory comments!

    Cheers!:freaky

I was thinking Brandi & Steve for the trip because they're both media-types...very good at what they do.
I guess I'll have to ask Brandi if she'd like to go sometime soon, eh Paul ?

Paul needs to come because we need a Crazy Frenchman and since I'm half French/half Slovak, I can be very useful when it comes to pastry and/or perogies...very necessary elements to a successful winter trip.

As Paul says, we're all riders, most of us crazy and all of us Canadian.

I tipped the editor of wheels, Mark Richardson, to Paul's ride and he forewarded it to Steve Bond. It was such a great adventure I was telling anyone that would listen. :D

    Cheers

    Hey Tim

Mark's getting along so well with the new bosses there that we should pitch this winter ride to him. Maybe they'll even fork up a budget and a shooter.

Hmmm. Wonder who might be interested in that assignment?:D

Big Doug. While subjecting Cape Bretoners(?) to the filth and pollution associated with the Tar Ponds, the boys from Ottawa should consider moving parliment there for the spring session. Their decison to finally do something might have been more expedicious if they could have been exposed to the full Monty.

Yep, that chronology was sickening, maddening, and a disgrace.
