I really think those on the mid size more street than dirt are going to have the most fun, drz400 would do fine, might be a little buzzy on the pavement. I think most routes that i'm familair with are pretty easy, flat dirt road at around 50-60mph.

Would anyone in the area be able to host an adventurer from France on his way to Canada?
He contacted me on TentSpace, but I am out of town for the week.

And it's short notice. Tomorrow night.

    Thanks.

    Excellent shot!
Jealous of the green, the water, and the rain drops.
Been dry in central CO, the tree colors are starting to show already.

Very nice. I have a shot of myself right there with little to no water.

That is a fun ride to be sure.

That ride didn’t happen, Monday appears to be a likely day out of the week for future rides

Hi... I posted this on another thread but thinking might get some ideas from this crew....

Looks like the only spot that might be clear of flash floods and death mud over the next week is SE AZ. Have the next week to "play"...bad timing eh. Any suggestions for a few must-do dirt? Cool terrain, historical sites, etc.. Will be solo so don't want anything too gnarly. Two-track/dirt/rock roads are even ok as long as not boring flat. Was thinking maybe around the Dragoons or Sonoita area? Suggestions?

Here are a couple of big-bike friendly rides. There is an old ghost camp up Sunnyside Road (https://goo.gl/maps/n59qx9Q6z7L2) and you can follow that road up the mountain all the way to the military post (look out for the 4-foot deep stop sign at the top). There's also an old ghost town in Ruby (see gpx file long ride to ghost town).

There are other places like Jackson Cabin (haven't been there)

This one (RiverRoad) shows the staging area for Chiva Falls (haven't been there) via Reddington Pass.

Hopefully these will give you ideas.

Short visit to the county this holiday. Send off moon rise over Electric peak (13,598) from my driveway.

Ten Thousand feet lower than Electric peak and 654 miles from home I get to enjoy great conditions in the "Aridzone".

Have not seen this in a long time, Ocotillos that were fully leafed out were frost burnt.
