Rider sign up is now CLOSED!

    Hello Everyone,

Our new friend Geordie from OZ. is coming over to ride with us for 2 days, November 27th. and the 28th. Let's make our annual pilgramage to the Coke Ovens! :clap

Here is the map we used last year, (thanks Terry) Stage in Superior at the school.

All are welcome, please see some of the other posts from the Coke Ovens for the ride repots. I have seen alot of damage to GS's on this ride, one person had to leave a GS and come back and haul it out..:eek1 This is a hard ride on a big bike. I am riding my 990 and Geordie will be on my WR450. I am working on training now.:deal One Bacon sammich at a time!:rofl

If you have never done the Coke Ovens, it is well worth the pain to get there. Last year I think we had 23 or so riders for 4play's birthday and it was a blast!

We will do lunch in Superior at the mexican cafe, Los Hermanos? I think the name is?

Make sure you are carring enough water and trail snacks as this is a very difficult ride. Make sure that you have spares for your bike, and that it is in good condition. It would help if you can pick up your own bike, but we will help. (I might need some help with this one!)

    Okay, who's IN??:deal

    Thanks Everyone! Eric.

Please see this ride report to make sure that you want "IN"

Hey Big-E, is there still thoughts of a friday or Sunday ride to ? Just curious cause we might need to convince reidy008 to host a ride from his place near lake pleasant. Back way to crown king for lunch ? More Turkey.....

No man left behind! I'll help you pick up your bike...after I take your picture!

What fun would it be without a cameraman? I'll be on the 450 though...

Ok, I was given a good idea by Oldtimertc. I would be happy to host a ride on Sunday where we would stage at my house and then ride up to Crown King for lunch the back way. I am in North Peoria and we can ride right out my back gate and hit the dirt to Lake Pleasant and up from there. I would love some one who can handle the route up and back to jump in here as I can barely follow the front of the bike. I am thinking we would get going in the morning, Crown King for lunch and then back to my place for eats after. Big-E is taking care of the first ride to the Coke Ovens which I am going to try and make but Saturdays are hard. Any feed back would be great. I have some spare rooms and a nice lawn around the pool for tents as well as a large RV which a few could stay in comfortably if we want to make it a Saturday night eat out and gathering and then rise and ride. I am open to most anything.:D

    Hey Reidy,

That would be awesome ! The routes no problem at all. Depending on what everyone is up for, there are many options to get us to the Mill for Lunch . Anyone know where the Guest from down under are staying ? After doing the Coke Ovens Saturday Sunday may need to be a bit easier.
