Oh yea, the custom windshield I got in the first 100 miles. Should I call a place like Safelite and have it filled or something?

I would. Once it starts to propagate it'll get bad real quick.

Free replacement with your auto insurance. Wait till you get back unless it impairs vision.

    Fork! Gave Safelight a hundo...
But made it to Colorado and saw our favorite road crew supervisor! Gave him a freshie for the lid.

Boondocking next to Elephant Rock, a rad feature for elite climbers. I don’t see any way up but have seen guys spider man to the top. Turtle Rock is across the road and we’re fairly close to the Arkansas River.

Annie is a rock star! Tomorrow I’ll run Chinaman Gulch and Triad Ridge ST Braaap!

Yea JA that was fantastic. If I knew it was him I would have been more of a Wanker when I went by!

And Haystack we’re back at that spot at Hartmans, what was that geological feature you mentioned?

    IMG_3873.jpg

Lots of stoke. My mind is overwhelmed with joy.

    IMG_3869.jpg

Camp last night was the tits! 3/4 up Cottonwood Pass. We broke camp this morning about 10ish and went over into Taylor Park then Gunny.

    IMG_3713.jpg

Mrs. Mandy loves the remote camping!

Our second camp in BV was 22 bucks and not only on the water but directly at an entrance to Fourmile OHV!

    IMG_3670.jpg

Zero point zero complaints from dogmanfu!

    IMG_3616.jpg

During the day we provisioned, Jonesed inter web to make a movie, and hung by the river in downtown and cooked lunch. We met the coolest locals. The retired school nurse and her son who flys for United out of Anchorage. They gave us a great insight into the community and were stoked that we loved BV so much.

    IMG_3692.jpg

I ran some single on Triad Ridge.

The tire is hooking great on the rocks but feels like it’s a little prone to folding over. It’s taller than Abe Lincoln and the mousse is soft so it makes sense.

But I like that it hooks. I can feel it really pull and that’s fun. But it’s taking a beating. And my clutch hates me. Riding was so easy before I figured out the clutch finger?

    IMG_3874.jpg

And for the record I’m no single track snob. I like the skinny but mostly I like to explore! Any elevation change makes me smile. A big challenge is not being distracted by the stoke!

    GPTempDownload.jpg

    Snow on the mountain!

    GPTempDownload.jpg

Minimal white stuff on Cottonwood Pass. After we broke camp we drove up to the pass and hiked around.

I love this spot. If you draw a line thru your bike, picnic table and the rocks behind......climb up on those rocks and check out the pothole/panholes. I will see if I can find some pics.

You are probably already moved on. Sorry I missed this,,,due to the covid and protests,,,,work cuts into my free time!
Haystackdaughter and I will most likely head west July 5. Will you be in Idaho by then?

Found em cool! Today is moving day. We’ll pack up do some life stuff in Gunny and make our way to Utah.

Mrs ManFu really enjoyed the stay. So many neat places to hike to from camp or sit on the table and enjoy the view.

Day 7 really feel like we’re in the zone. Yes this is the trail.

    Oh hell yea! Adjustments.jpg

And discovered stoke almost immediately in the form of a multiple waterfalls and a gaping crack in the earths surface. Clear sky’s and62° - perfect!

    Adjustments.jpg

But as a product of the 70’s I got really jazzed up when we discovered that we could walk 1.7?miles to Evil Knievel’s Snake River jump site!

    Adjustments.jpg

What in the actual crap was he thinking!
The jump has eroded over the years and there’s even a big tree growing on the approach!

    IMG_4160.jpg

Here’s the view from the top. It would take a full send effort to clear this gap!

    IMG_4162.jpg

Very cool initial Idaho experience. We cooked a late lunch in the parking lot and made some changes to our plan. Being we are in no hurry we decided to break up our drive into the mountains with a stay an hour from the falls at Little City of Rocks. Zero point zero humans in sight, 6 miles down a dirt road, total isolation yet 4g connection.

    IMG_4191.jpg

We’ll be off grid for a few days as we camp near Featherville ID and explore Baumgardners a popular riding/camping destination. Then make it over to Sun Valley at the end of the week.

    IMG_4201.png

This is for our under 40 inmates. Although I was only 5 when this shit went down Evil left a lasting impression on me and his poster graces the garage of Castle Cole - “Theres a little Evil in all of us.”
