So this is not good?
Last weekend in Sonora
New TOR location.
WES did the TON riding the Legend road.
He was schooled by the local talent.
Crazy looking clouds in that picture.
Anybody still interested in this silly game?
Where the hell is it? I might give it a go if I ever get a break from work.
Looks like a good place for an exorcism.
Just a suggestion. Tag should be easy to locate and at a destination that is a nice ride. A picture of an obscure building or statue in Denver or Pueblo won't get more than a passing glance from me. I like to ride and explore not research pictures trying to figure out where they were take.
Oh yeah! Just work, life, getting in the way. That and an unwillingness to ride 320 miles round trip in high winds and winter storms.
How do you like the 790?
Very happy with it. Under 500lbs, range of 250+ miles. Plenty of power. Great suspension. Best bike I've had in terms of does everything I want well.
Different strokes. I like the research, the history and learning from it (which usually comes from having to look for it) , the thrill of the hunt, the rush to get there first etc. Don't care where it is, if I can find the time and the weather is right, I'll go. Some days, directions, tags are of less interest than others. So be it.
For what you are looking for you might look into playing the USA TOR or whatever it is called. Charlie and I think Hanzo participate in that a lot.
Just my opinion
But if the game is dying and the tag only moves once a month, a change might get more people (me) involved. I don't think I've gotten a tag since last yr. I'm not interested in researching a picture..
Thanks. I really did need someone to spell it out for me.
The current Tag is easy to get to in the winter, and the Purgatoire River area has a lot of history if one cares to look for it. That is why I placed it there, nice ride on the Highway of Legends from Trinidad to Stonewall.
I really doubt anyone is going up to Buffalo Pass till next spring if not summer.
And to state the obvious, If you don't like where the Tag is move it, pretty simple.
Or one could make excuses.
On page 1, the rules stated for that winter, the southern border wold be Pueblo.
Did that ever officially change?
Since it is Winter after all...
Winter = Bitchtober
Yea. And you would probably bitch if someone shit in your dinner bucket!
But don't misconstrue what I said to be a bitch. I was just asking a friendly question.
That was the rule initially anyway. Just stating the facts..
I would really like to ride that road down there. Looks fun. And I will plan to do that someday.
But I guess I'm not too interested in doing that as a day trip just to get the tag.
I hadn't realized just how far it is from here. Even you southern folks don't seem to want to go after it.
Looks like it will stay there for a while.
It wasn't a suggestion that the tag be placed on the Continental Divide in Dec. The pic is an example of a location that is easy to locate. It says where it is in the pic, unlike the current tag; an apparently abandoned building. I wonder where I can find an abandoned building.
Which can you find?
Hmm, took about 45 seconds to find the tag using Google and the clues Bash gave. Love riding the road to the tag. Some people would say it is Ledgen.... wait for it.... dary. (how I met your mother running gag) Good one for you southerners.
I'd go get it but I don't think I am up for a 450 mile ride tomorrow.
I know I have been awol for the last 3 months. Been swamped with work and heath crap to be able ride or play tag games. Things have settled down so lets play some TOR.
Wife unit and I camped at Trinidad State Park a couple years ago and rode that highway, as well as the road to Bishop Castle. Highly recommend it as a weekend trip. Made us think of retiring to LeVeta.
