Well... truth be told I had to put that trip off for a week. My Grandparents water feed to the sprinkler system broke so I dug a 5 foot hole instead of taking the trip. Then worked at the Hidee mine in Idaho Springs the rest of the week. My sister is in town from Baltimore until Thursday so I will be making attempt number two this Friday morning.
However, I did talk to my Uncle and he had a map of all the jeep trails in the area. And Ed, the guy who owns the Hidee, said he may know someone who has patented land up there we could set up at. Its a long shot. Ouray is already talking about fire restrictions cuz of the drougt so it may be wise to find a regular forest service area to avoid restrictions. Check out the area of the map south east of Ouray. I will post pictures when I get back from this weekend of the various areas. I will probably just have time to check the ones on 550 but will try to spread out if time/weather permits.
...rotary drill, not impact. Not very loud. Here's a pic of my unc by the Hidee Vein. Fucking wild. If anyone is interested we could blast up there and check it out. The Carbonate mine should be open by then as well and it is on the way in Breckenridge.
Just wanted to thank the one straight reply! I am off tomorrow morning. Will take 285 to assess the fire damage then 50 to 550. I will then drop sout and come out through wolf creek pass. Should be epic.
i checked on state farm but they were beat out by farmers in the end. I am getting soaked for 450(full coverage) but they gave me a screaming deal on the truck. I get dinged due to speeding and illegal turn tixs so total for 1991 nissan 4x4 and 01 GS is 1200 yr. I am going to have to make a bigger cardboard begger sign. all packed for Ouray. I have to drop by faye myer before i leave and return some astar vectors that are just a bit too small then vroooooooooooooooooooooooooooom
