    =====================================

    ADVRider West Fest 2021
    SEPTEMBER 10-12, 2021
    Ouray, Colorado

The riding is epic with a wide range of offerings, from paved roads through the "Alps of America", to OHV trails over 12k passes around the Alpine Loop. If you aren't faint of heart, give Black Bear Pass a go, descending the "Steps" into Telluride and back to Ouray over Imogene Pass (13,114 ft), through Yankee Boy Basin. All skill levels will find a spectacular experience and memories that will last forever!

    REGISTRATION IS OPEN.

There will be vehicle/trailer parking at three proximal locations.
1- approx 2 miles from camp with a steep single trail hike up to camp, but easily ridable on the main access road and we'll have a "load bearing" truck.
2- in a parking area approx 0.8 miles from camp with a gradual climb walk up the road. Easily ridable and we'll let you chase the "load bearing" truck to keep you eager.
3- up at the camp area there will be capacity for approx 5-7 vehicle/trailer combos.

Here is a screenshot to give you some perspective. View attachment 3025171

Registration will occur at KJ Wood Distilleries 929 Main Street, Ouray, Colorado from 4-7 on Thursday the 10th. If you don't make it to that, you can always find one of us later.

There's lots of food options within walking distance for dinner Thursday evening.

Breakfast Friday and Saturday at Bachelor/Syracuse Mine. Just down the hill from the rally site. Dinner Saturday night. Bar-b-q or pig roast. Working out the details....
Camping Thursday, Friday and Saturday provided. There will be outhouses and water. We have to haul water, so it's not unlimited, but plenty for basic camp.

FYI... If you plan to ride any of the designated OHV trails, you will need a Colorado OHV sticker. Enforcement is much stricter than in years past and the Forest Service and BLM are writing tickets. Simply riding Forest Service and BLM roads or staying on pavement, only requires a plated bike. We will provide OHV maps, free of charge, for everyone attending.

    Get a sticker here: https://cpw.state.co.us/buyapply/Pages/RegistrationsOHV.aspx

@jwrover was instrumental in the last one - 2019 I think. That was in Ouray again. (Not to be confused with OSCAR)
I'll let him chime in on whether or not he's up to it again.
I helped a bit with that (T-shirts), but it really seemed like a one man show. John had everything ready to go...food, campground, etc.
Might be late to procure a campground.

John W. and I have discussed a more stripped down rally. Something like Steamboat. I’m willing to help out any way I can.

I now own 40 acres up at the top of City Road 14 in Ouray. We could do a "rough camping" event up there with no reservations. I can get a toilet/bath trailer up there. It will mean beginning and ending with a little commitment each day by riders...IE- No Street queens.
But we could make dates in Aug/Sept and just see who shows. If someone wants to do shirts, go for it. If someone wants to organize anything else with it, go for it. But I'll commit to the basics: a place to set your tent and a place to take a shit , shower, and shine.
The Bachelor Syracuse Mine breakfast and tour will be open half way down the hill so breakfast can be on your own and easy.

    Let me know!

In and I'll take on the T-shirts again.
I'm sure we can come up with some dinner options given the amount of time we have to organize.

Some designated dinner options might be better than trying to coordinate that on John's land, based on the roughness. Keep that more for campfire and bullshitting, would be way easier logistically.
The real question is, @jwrover, do you have a fun trail on that property or do we need some beer and bike time, and get something good going?

    Official dates are confirmed.
    September 10-12.
The organizing crew is having a zoom meeting next Wednesday (the 26th) and I'll post logistics after that. I'm going to try to get to the site this weekend and will post some pictures for your viewing pleasure.
I'm going to act as point person, so I'll try to answer questions here. PM if that's easier.

I'll most likely have to pass, but I will kick it around. I'd love to be out motocamping for 5-6 weeks again, but may have other "conflict-ions."

@Big_John any chance you could change the thread title to include the dates? Thanks!
