I don't think you can carry open or concealed in ANY federal building so USFS and BLM buildings are out too.
Presents quite a conundrum- is the USFS campground vault toilet considered a building? Hmmm:lol3

Down here, a while back, the state opened some state parks for day use only (and NM citizens only). The brilliant people in charge felt people would congregate at the toilets. This would be a danger to the public because of Covid. So they kept them locked. Well people who were on "stay at home" orders for months went out to enjoy the parks.

You probably guessed it. People crapped where ever they could. The state and the media, was incensed that people would make such a mess of their parks. :baldy

But the state did finally unlock the toilets.

I have not found any USFS or BLM ones locked. But some NPS ones were in June.

We stayed a week at Colorado National Monument in June. The campground restrooms were open, never did venture into the visitor center.

I know this is a few months old but...I teach courses (CCW / Pistol / Rifle etc) and certified a bunch of folks last week. I won't spam the forum here but hit me up if you want details or a link to my site.

This is why it's convenient to have an AR Pistol...one in the chamber - well it is a pistol after all.

A bit of excitement on Black Bear a couple weeks ago. Notice the dirt bike that passes them, never to be seen again. I don't think the landslide deterred the motorcycle.

17:18 for those who don't want to sit through the video.

We're going camping the last week of September, was thinking of the San Juan area. Anyone notice more than usual crowds? Is the the disperse camping still easy to come by? Hoping the smoke isn't that far down in the SW corner.

Well, been riding SW Colorado & Southern Utah the past 8 days. Beautiful clear skies until yesterday when things got a little hazy. Today definitely more smoke in the air. Planned to go N out of Montrose after riding there from Gunnison but the air was so shitty I headed sough back to Durango. The air is a bit better here but it’s still pretty hazy. At elevation (Red Mountain) it felt much cleaner.

think I’ll just head back to AZ now.

for those looking to get out now, watch that air quality.

crowds in southern Utah were pretty sparse. In the Durango area I think you can find dispersed camping without issue.

Awesome thanks for the info @Motorius I really appreciate it. Thinking maybe the Grand Mesa area to check out. Smoke here on the front range has been pretty hazy the past couple days.
Snow - Eh, I'm not too worried about, we're car camping unfortunately unable to trailer the bikes, also don't want to leave the pupper if we're out riding.

As of last weekend, there was a dusting on some of the fourteeners down there, according my daughter who scaled Mt. Sneffels. It will be fine. Until it isn't. That's Colorado weather.

I hope you have a fantastic trip! I'm jealous. I'll be dodging riff-raff on P2P trails.
