    Thanks Z,

I had found that, but they are not taking reservations right now due to work on campground.
Too far for us to go and not be sure that we can get in.

I have also camped at blue spring SP, but they are booked up. :cry

I had hoped someone could suggest a lesser known county park. :ear

    Thanks again Z,

All the State parks are booked and Kelly would have been perfect but they dont allow pets.

What do you know about Magnolia park?
The folks at Kelly suggested them as they allowed pets.

Anyone have tire tools within 100 miles of DeLand?

Looking for a mc jack or lift and tire mount.

Visiting from Arizona and putting on new tires. Trying to avoid disassembling my ST1300 in the Daytona Cycle Gear parking lot and spending $40 to get the tires mounted. Also trying to avoid spending even more at a stealer. :lol3

    thanks!

Anybody have any experience with ducati miami?

Someone sent me a pm suggesting that I add them to the list, but I ordinarily don't like adding shops unless I've had a good personal experience or know someone that has.

Leaving NE Ohio on Saturday for relocation to Central Florida. Had enough of cold snowy winters and not being able to ride for signifigant periods of time each year. Been riding since I was a kid in So. Calif. a long time ago.
I like to ride offroad and plan to compete in some FTR events. I need some recommendations for offrad areas in Central Florida. Croom, Ocala NF, ???
Looking forward to new friendships and some great dual sport riding too.

+1 on Dixie Dual Sport. They are an excellent and very active club.

If you ride either Croom or Ocala (or anywhere in Central, South FL for that matter), be prepared for lots of soft sand. The middle of Florida is basically still a beach, just farther away from the ocean and with lots of growing stuff.

If you want to hook up with a good club for road riding, check out the FL chapter of the MSTA (Motorcycle Sport Touring Association). You can find the FL MSTA website at http://www.flahsta.org

    Have fun!

I am moving back to the states after getting tired of the prices for my toys in Brazil. I just paid $325 USD for a Michelin Anakee 2 150/70 R17!!!! My 2010 DL650 cost me just over $17,000 USD....vaseline not included! Seeing the good prices on housing in Florida and potential for year round riding I am thinking it is a good place to live. I would like to be in a nice, safe, small town (under 50K population) in northern Florida, not much more then an hour away from a city with a Costco and other major stores. Maybe more important is places I should avoid.

    Any suggestions are truly appreciated.

    TIA,

    Mike

I am thinking about tagging along with my stepfather on his way to Daytona for Speedweek and unloading the KLR and heading to the Keys from there. Is there a prefered North/South route? As little highway or pavement as poosible?
    Thank you, Butch

Hello from the Snowy cold north!

My Son and I will be coming to the Sarasota Area in a couple of week and the PLAN is to stay in the Sarasota area, work a bit (I'm a Kayak guide and Carpenter), play a bit, and ride as Much as we can. We are bringing Tools, SOME toys, and the V-Stroms - he has the 650, I have a 1K. I don't think I can get the DRZ in the Trailer with everything else we have to bring. :(:

I would love to find "local" group/forum to connect with people and or rides as I know little of the area. I assume that Sarasota would be considered Central Florida. Is there a group in that area? Are there rides in the area appropriate for a liter bike? all the usual stuff.....
