I use the Oxford tailpack,works a dream...big enough for 2 tubes,tools and a first aid kit!
Sorry no good close-ups!
I have what I believe is a bicycle rear rack bag mounted on my R100GS. It's about 6"wide by 12" long and maybe 7" tall. It can be unzipped to expand up another 6" or so and has a couple small external side pouches and a top pouch as well. It works perfectly for me to carry my water, food, maps, camera, etc. Numerous velcro straps to hook it onto the rack. Lined, waterproof interior. Reflective material sewn on outside. Had it for years. Check a higher end bike shop or, better yet, your local flea market as I think that's where I got mine.
does anyone have a pic of a pelican 1500 case mounted on a
KTM 950 SE ?? i just returned from a 1600 mile trip with a soft
bag. its way too much trouble & time consuming taking it off
& on, plus you have to unstrap it just to get 1 item out of it.
PITA. my two buddies had the pelican & it worked great.
i would just have it mounted to my touratech rack for long
trips, then unbolt it. im thinking of a gray or yellow pelican ?
Talk about dumpster diving for old threads...... I alternate, or combine a Kriega 20 and Kreiga 10 on CJ's rack. Waterproof and straps low and tight when empty.
Maybe a small peli might be an option:
More about the mounting can be read here:
I use the Wolfman Wolf Tail bag, absolute doddle to take on and off with 4 large hook bungee's.
