I thought about a Burgman200 thread. But I’d be all alone on it. My adventure riding is quite a ways away. I am working part time and this saving no time off. But I am exercising like a fiend to get my strength back.
I think its safe to say that you won't be "alone" with whatever your next thread will be called. We are with ya Conch!
Start a new thread with some of your key west diary photos. As you ride more include info on that. We all feel as if we know you. Good luck with whatever you decide.!!!
I'd be good with Michael calling in the dogs on this thread and closing it? Everyone's done their part, some (the medical staff, Michael's wife & The Virginian) far more than the rest of us who are mere bystanders, but especially the main man in this episode, Michael.
It's great to see Michael up and about, getting better and gaining strength all the time, and riding again
After what you went through I would consider every ride an adventure. You could title your new thread : "Scoot'n the Conch Republic" or something like that. No epic adventures required.
All good ideas but most of my riding is up and down 30 miles of Highway One or around Key West. I’ll be posting plenty of pictures around the forum. I actually don’t like to post without including a postcard as they are so easy to gather. However the riding part of my life is pretty boring. People ask if I get tired of the same 25 mile commute but when I lived in California I commuted the Santa Cruz Mountains using the same route everyday- the fastest way to work and the fastest way home to Santa Cruz. (Brunswick, Georgia). The thing is there are very few recreational roads around here for those days when you just want to ride. The very longest is seven miles. Most are three or less and they are all the same. So recreational riding is really not much fun. Even riding to the mainland once you’ve done it a dozen times. Once or twice a year I’ll go to the Everglades but usually I like to explore with Rusty and take the car. The long and the short is there isn’t much excitement in the Keys when I’m not doing an Iron Butt....but it is pretty! Thank you for your support. The End.
Wait. First this is Rusty: This is Key West: He makes me look normal. This is me: Changing a flat. The End End.
Web chiles is now my hero. I have c to c a mc many times but, around the world sailing tops that! At 77yo. Wow. Sorry little scooter context.
