Can't afford Condo (although may go and watch), I actually took the KLE out for a night ride last night on a rough pipeline road near my place and it went OK (I was taking it easy because I had road tyres on it and a bruised calf from my leg getting caught on the rear bag as I was trying to get on it at a shop and fell on top of it).

I was more thinking rally class but I may be persuaded to do the whole thing.

I was tossing up between the 24hr and a Simpson trip actually.

Been lurking this thread so hard I decided to join this forum and I am looking at old bikes to get into Dual Sport for the first time.

I just joined up - fresh off the welcome mat!

I have had dirt bikes, and baggers, but never considered a mashup until now.

I am looking forward to a new build, and a new way to enjoy 2 wheels. I don't know what it will be yet, but its happening soon.

The crossing of dirt bike and bagger would be excellent. V twin touring dirt bike. Have you seen the buell hill climb bike?

Did you make that sprocket cover yourself? Looks great, I'm running the same frontend on mine:

No, it's a chainsicke rear set, which by the way is garbage. Don't waste your money, and the sprocket cover is a speed merchant

Definitely functional but still 475lbs so only 30lbs lighter than factory weight. No build thread but if you’re on Instagram the name is monstertruckmoto

I've got an 82 Honda GL500 id like to make into a dual sport.

I figure the first step would be a new front end with a 19" front wheel

Then I've read about guys using GL1000 or 1100 rear 17" wheels.

Anybody have any ideas on what front end would be an easy fit without any machining?
