    I am a fan of the original myself.

    Just quietly :dic, I managed to get access to some of the Electric Ladyland original recordings via a deceased mate, including takes 1 to 15 of Voodoo Child (Slight return) and the released version is take 15, but there is some stunning stuff in the earlier takes, and no 2 versions are the same either - no-one plays guitar like him, and the material is truly unique.

    The long version took 5 takes out of interest.

    I enjoyed that. Nice memories too. Bit of an effort on those bikes too. I've struggled on some of them on the 950 and 690. Must go back, maybe this Christmas? Pending Permission.
