For the "Ute" guys, '81 El Camino "Royal Knight"...
I never understood the appeal of that particular badging, because IIRC Royal Knight was underwear or jammies or the like. No cred for a half car there .
I'm not a ute guy, either. But, like the Ridgeline, they definitely had/have their niche.
I only post 'em for our 'Straylian Brothers. They sure seem to love their utes.
I have nothing against the El Camino/Ranchero pickup cars (as I called them when I was a kid), I was only commenting on that Royal Knight thing. Royal Knight was a brand of kids undergarments or some such during the '70's, and that's why that particular edition of El Camino was laughable to me back then. Woo hoo-- the Tighty Whitey Truck!
