We rode copper canyon in March, a great time of the year, cool on top and hot in the canyons. Had a great time on my 2000 Suzuki DRZ 400E. The only modifications I would recommend as essential are a larger fuel tank and a 3 tooth smaller rear sproket. Other that that even the knobbies were servicable on the road from Douglas AZ to copper canyon and back. My good riding buddy insisted on going to an indian village called Tehaban. We never got there but we did get to the top of the world (at least in copper canyon) a moderate trail (Dennis suggests GSs stay home). Attached are the tracks we laid down. The trail starts on the highway south of Creel. Enjoy.
