    it started as a street legal motorcycle... and trike conversions are legal.. Harleys do it all the time. So yea, I dont see why it wouldnt be street legal

    I had one 4 or 5 years ago and really liked it. If I weren't addicted to the e-start on my little Kawi Sherpa 250... :D

    Like you say, new rings and valve guide seals would be a cheap Saturday morning's work, and you'd be ready for action!

    those XT225s are tough lil bastards. my first bike, and the bike I learned all the hard lessons on. even ran it without oil once, all it did was spin the camshaft bearing - replaced it and kept on ticking.

    $2k seems a little spendy maybe, but that looks like a larger-than-stock tankat least.
