Nice BMW - $3500 (Creswell)
I travel for work, so she usually finds the packages on the porch before I can.
Usually they’re small, and sometimes for her. No biggie.
But this one...
(By the calendar, I should be in Philadelphia when it shows up.)
It’ll be fine. We both like old stuff, but there might be a brief reddening of my cheeks.
...if I'm not wrong this G/S has been passed around L.A. like a an old hooker. B
ut I may be wrong. It might be the same one we found in an alley carport 44 years ago. I missed out on it at a $2500 offer . Could be a different bike. If not, the price has been hipsterized...
BMW R80G/S - $16000 (Los Angeles)
When I see a price like that I'm tempted to see what I can put together from parts on the internet. Of course the result wouldn't be triple numbers matching. And dot 5 brake fluid?! Not in my bike. I also can't find a mention of the mileage anywhere.
This looks like it could be pretty nice.
"***Price reduced***. 1991 BMW R 100 GS Here is your chance to get a clean vintage Air Head BMW "Duel Sport" the bike that was made for the Paris-Decar race."
For the benefit of the community's knowledge and edification: this bike sold for $6,500 to a gentleman in Idaho who has been shopping for one for four years. His intent is to meticulously restore the mechanics and electrical, then enjoy it into his golden years. As it should be.
I've got an idea, send it to my house for safe keeping. Problem solved, no need to think me! I'll PM you the address.
So you can hand it back over to me at Kenton Station again?
As an aside, who was the fellow I talked to yesterday evening at the bottom of the I-205 SB offramp at PDX?
Are you on here?
A white mono-shock R100RS you had just bought in SEA, and were road-tripping it home. Died with a total loss of electrics. Probably a charging system failure where the battery had finally given out.
Me: on my silver K1300S, heading into work. (Had to leave for Honolulu in an hour.)
This looks good.
BMW R100RS with Ural Sidecar - (Bend OR)
No thanks, I’m not looking for a diesel version...
Specifically a 1992 R100R, repaint, Integral City Bags (my favorite), replacement silencer.
Oh boy, that looks very nice.
I call it, "asking for top dollar", somebody may be willing to pay $6500 but I don't think it will sell fast. Ad doesn't mention miles on the bike, so there is that.
Bloody gorgeous! But for comparison what would it take to finance the addition of a sidecar onto the nicely priced r100r?
Looks like 45k miles. I think he’s priced at top of the market
1975 BMW R90/6 - Excellent Condition - Same owner for 35 years - $5100 (SPOKANE)
