I would guess he doesn't really want to sell, just wants to show it off.
Seems nice for a daily driver. At least there's no pipe wrap and and brown seat.
Nice ride for a few grand.
wtf, $600 for a seat? i found the rest of the seller’s ads. $1800 if you total everything up, and it’s maybe $600 worth of stuff.
And why part that example out?
"wtf, $600 for a seat? i found the rest of the seller’s ads. $1800 if you total everything up, and it’s maybe $600 worth of stuff."
The fact that he's from Boulder should say enough!
Based on the other parts listed (side covers, luggage, stock exhaust) the seller is clearly building a cafe bike. Normally, I don’t get too upset seeing an RT get the cafe treatment, but that’s a pretty exceptional looking RT.
Lived there for 1.5yrs, and that was about 1.5yrs too long. I shouldn’t expect better. The seller is likely just trying to afford their overpriced rent/mortgage, lol!
For you non-Californians, the original blue license plate tells me that this has spent 45 years in a nice, relatively dry climate. Looks to be an honest bike with some nice upgrades
He calls it new but it's used. It might sell. It's in good used condition.
A friend retired an R80 amd sold it awhile later, the new owner has a bad back and had to sell recently for $3500. It’s back on the block now for $7000. Asshole!
Asshole,... maybe. Or is he just trying to sell at what the market can stand? Or maybe he doesn't really want to sell it so much as show it off?
Seems like a reasonable price if you need a g/s.
"vehicles in Alberta do not have titles"
Huh. Who knew?
I wonder how much trouble it will be getting it across the border if a US bidder gets it. Isn't the border closed? Or has it been reopened?
The drugs in Boulder must be a lot better than I remember cause this dude is HIGH! $1000 for an RT faring? I literally couldn’t give mine away for free.
Everything is more expensive in Boulder!
Maine - vehicles manufactured before 1995 do not require titles. Motorcycles under 300cc do not require titles. Anyone want to register a TZ for the street? How about an Aprilia RS250? No problem.
A real shame. The ad says he is parting out the whole bike even though it only has 30k miles and is in perfect condition. The pics of the bike look good. Cant save them all and to each there own but I hate to see it happen.
Agreed. It’s a bit of a tragedy...
First time posting, but good looking bike. Close by if any one is interested I could go have a look for them.
