The seller (Ray Becker) always comes up with some wicked cool stuff for airheads. He goes to Germany "autojumbles" quite often.
Ray has been doing this for living for years.
I believe Ray Becker is the gent that owned "Olga" at one point. I bought the rig from Frank D in Brooklyn, and Frank said he bought just the bike from Ray. Ray had the complete rig with a Steib S500 on it, but sold off the Steib. Ray got the rig from Bob Pelikan's brother who lives near Boston. Bob P built my rig originally, complete with the /7 Heinrich tank.
Funny ol' world, ain't it?
Yep, if you've been around these old bikes long enough, you'll connect with Ray in some fashion. He attends our annual rally every year, usually sets up a swap meet area with lots of great parts/bikes. The last few years though he hasn't. The internet has pretty much made swap meets here a waste of effort. Sad.
"wicked cool" airhead stuff from massachusetts is definitely a great tip...
I posted this on the /2 thread, but maybe someone on this thread should see this....
