What's with the walleye mode? Is that an i-phone thing?

"It does not start right now. I am stumped on that one but that is for you to figure out."

I'm all about old junk (and I think the CB360 may have been Honda's worst bike ever--I've owned three over the years), and the price is probably OK in today's market for one with a clean title, but those pictures make me shudder.

Why do people in WA think "current tabs" are a selling point? They're only good to allow you to ride it home. You have to change the plates/tabs when you transfer ownership/registration.

I completely agree. BFD. Who really cares that it has current tabs?

As for the fish eye view, that is a red flag!

I totally agree. It's worse when they say "Tabs good until ____. It screams, "I'm from another state and don't know the laws here". I see it sooooo often on car and mc ads.

The fish eye lense is how you make a $300 bike look like a $900 bike. Those non runners are only worth parts to me. Too risky to find out what is really wrong with it.

Buying in Oregon on a Oregon vehicle the tags transfer, so you pay registration, title transfer and tags later when they come due. Don't know about Washington.

Ah...so those WA sellers must be Oregon transplants...totally makes sense now.

Here's a question for you frequent buyers and sellers in Washington. How many have gone back to the state to get your tab money back when you sell the vehicle before the tabs expire? I think it is possible, but the few times I've thought about it and had the opportunity, I just got too lazy to give it a try.

The real bullshit is that WA charges you to put in the notice of sale online - talk about money grubbing! Couldn't believe it when I sold my in-law's motorhome.

Lingo question ... I see the mention of "tabs" a lot ... does that mean the sticker on the license plate? Like current tabs. Tabbed as a street bike. etc.
Or "tab" = "tag"? I'm used to "title", "license plate", "current registration", but not a Pacific Northwest guy. :)

Yah, tabs=tags in this context. Here in Oregon we have to renew the registration every two years which gives us new year stickers to put on our plates.

Yup, they just began doing that a few years ago. A way around that sort of, is to pull your plates once you sell the vehicle, however if it's abandoned or ticketed they can still trace the VIN back to you if the new owners don't register it in their names. Just this past year I sold a mc to a known criminal and she abandoned it, and had I not paid the $8 fee the towing and yard fees would have been in my name and racked up significantly. As a side note, I actually considered getting it from the lot, but by the time the official letter arrived the fees were past the worth of the mc and there's some sort of law that a prior owner can't get it anyway if it's been sold and the $8 fee has been paid.

In California, if the tags are not current, you could be on the hook for all the past registrations and fees. Current tags means that won't be an issue.
