Did Kevin make a dumbass roast? It’d be a single origin from Steve.

In the past I've always liked Crazy Fox coffee (Colombia Santa Barbara Estate) because it's fresh roasted, typically within a week of receiving my order.

I was a little disappointed when I received my order today and found that the coffee was roasted over 3 months (5/19) ago.
What is considered fresh roasted coffee? Roasted within 2 weeks?

I roast each week as orders come in. I never have roasted coffee around that was roasted the previous week, let alone three months ago. I do all the roasting, bagging and labeling, including writing the dates on the label. I don't know why I wrote 5/19, I'm pretty certain the correct date was 8/19. Whatever happened I can promise you that you didn't get three month old coffee. If I did have any coffee around that was that old it would have went into the compost pile before I would sell it. Coffee roasted over three months ago definitely wouldn't be considered fresh roasted coffee by me. I wouldn't give coffee away that was that old.

The 5/19 roasted date must have been a labeling error then, thank you for clearing that up :thumb

Stoked to find another local place that roasts coffee. I'll check you out when I finish off my current stock!

I’ve drank almost nothing but the 2 stroke smoke for two years now. Love this stuff, even makes a good brew in a mocha pot on the road!
