Fall Ride pics
Not too many action pictures here lately so I'll post a few. Sunny day (week) in Oregon at the end of October, which is rare for this time of the year.
I rode from Yamhill through the coastal mountain range (Tillamook Forest) to the Jordan Creek OHV area. The gate on the Yamhill side was open so I pretended I didn't see the warning sign and continued on.
Took the new to me AT up out of Jones Creek OHV, forgot how much mass the ltr bike carry!
Guess everyone’s gotten new one. Well it’s still new to me so I went out again today. Up the gorge to Lyle then followed the Klicitat River over to Glenwood then back NFS60 into Carson. Feeling better all the time but the Touratech windscreen is an epic fail. HORRIBLE helmet buffering. Ordered the fork area deflector and will put back the adjustable screen.
After Zeta blew through last week, turned into a beautiful day. Lots of downed trees, blocked roads, power outages and scattered debris but found a few decent roads and views.
Taking advantage of some of the last days for riding.
Planned to go to Africa.... COVID got in the way, so Scotland it was in September!
I don't know if it's just the angle of the shots or the fact that you matched the colors so well, but that is the best looking high fender conversion I've ever seen. Usually I'm not a fan but I like yours.
A few pics from my last trip. I got home today from 5 days playing in east TN, WNC, and a dip into North GA, wild camping every night. 600 miles mostly off road. The bike was flawless and I love it more than ever since putting on the new forks.... I'm still in awe of how much better it is.
I live 2hrs from the Cohuttas and rode it only once this year!
The TAT goes thru it, too
Its one of my all time favorite places. I love that area.
How do you like that screen, Amphib?
Way more than I thought I would. No buffeting even with the peak on my shoei hornet. I originally put it on because I was scratching the shit out of my oem one..... I got really good at buffing it out.
Though I overall liked it, the oem screen was really getting in the way offroad. It also was preventing air moving into the vents of my jacket, so I thought a smaller screen would help......it does, but not as much as I thought it would. But not having the taller screen hitting all the branches and catching everything makes it totally worth it and I don't care at all about the scuffs and scratches.
Mine was cut down when I bought it, so I hit it with some matte black camo spray paint, but I've been looking at that one. Thanks ;-)
I got the Powerbronze screen and it’s about that height (and Still has the cutout like the stocker), and I’d like it even lower. Might try hacking it down another inch.
Got to go out and play today.
