True but given that schedule was done way in advance before the bug, what would you think should happen if Tokyo and eicma were cancelled? They should proceed to next scheduled event, shouldn't they?

    With covidmania who knows!

If it were my sandbox, no new bike releases, focus on current production. Honda is already selling everything they can produce.

300CC version haven´t ABS (check photos), and if it´s, can´t be sold in a lot european countries. Of course would be great (NO abs), but....
    I´m afraid a regional product....

They'll put ABS on it for other markets where required. They just don't need it for Thailand.

Wonder if it feels top heavy....can someone fly to thailand and give us a ride report ? Im surprised honda didnt have western riders at the release event...makes me question if it will land on US shores anytime in the next couple of years...

Why don't you leave a question on the youtube review of someone that's already in Thailand and reviewing them?

Would seem a quicker and cheaper way of finding out.

Many options for suspension upgrades for many price points already in the market.... Honda will not do this as they know that most people won’t pay for quality suspension, especially on a budget models.

It is a very easy to upgrade suspension to your liking and budget for a Honda CRF 250-300 after the purchase.

I would add that 31hp and the super wide tranny would make this bike king of the small dual sports...not lumping ktm products into my assesment as they r just tagged dirt bikes. Hoping they made some effort to lower the center of gravity. Id think this bike should pull well down low and cruise 65mph in 6th with ease...even on modest inclines.

+1 especially if Rally also lost 5kg/11lbs. 31hp is enough to hit 90-95mph which means that it won't be a dog passing at 75. And if it is/can be geared higher CRF 250 was rev limited IMO.

I don’t know what you mean by “piece meal” but the initial launch of the Rally model came out in Thailand first and it happened very similarly. It was weeks after Thai YouTube videos were posted before the Rally showed up officially in other markets on the Honda Website and then finally to dealers several months later here in the US.

If the Kawi becomes reality, Honda will need to respond.

Honda US current site lists the CRF-L and Rally model in both the Adventure and Dual Sport categories so as to allow a sale of the model to anyone who might classify either bike in either way..... clever marketing guys.

I think the 31 hp is gross, at the crank. According to Kawasaki my 2009 klx250s is rated at 28 hp. Dyno charts indicate about 18.9. I doubt you will get 31 hp to the rear wheel with the 286 cc displacement and 10.7 to 1 compression ratio at 8500 rpm. Even the mighty WRR only manages 23ish hp by reving to 10,000 rpm with 11.x compression ratio. Stock drz400s with 398 cc make 29 to 31 hp at the rear wheel. Time and dyno runs will tell us what rear wheel hp will be.
