ok. you are bringing the beta. i'm pretty sure there'll be a fire to jump. i'm pretty sure i can find enough people to construct a ramp. are you really sure you wanna go down this road?
Zim and I (tandem, wee strom) would be up for a radar ride if there's a group headed there on Friday.
Was checking in to see fire pics. Glad you FF's did not disappoint.
Fire been burning long time
Maniac has not checked in,. You ok?
Like a billionaires massage, this story has a happy ending.
Ok folks, I do not know how many ways I can say this. Do not drive your damn vehicle on the road to the campsites. It is a simple request so that a convenience is offered. If we cannot honor the parks wishes, there will be no more vehicles allowed. It is that simple. Please stop taking vehicles down there. Plan accordingly. Get here, park it at the beach and leave it there. Have I said this before? Is it making me grumpy now? No answer required, rhetorical.
Being the snowflake edition, of course you are special; but you are not that special that breaking the rules of the park are acceptable.
Be kind to kittens and puppies too. AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS. I may need to borrow the goat for a spell.
Latest radar site intel, courtesy of MKR:
It is gated intermittently and the road is also blocked at the mid point. people have made a go around though if the gate is open. Last time we were there the road was closed by the owner because they were running log trucks out from the mid point hauling timber out and didn't want people coming up their road as a loaded 18 wheeler was descending a double digit grade fully loaded.
Better than rain I suppose. For the record, there was frost in Pomfret when I rode to work this morning.

My son has a stuffed pig he calls "Boris". He said I could borrow it. Would that help?
Convince them to use logging bikes
hope u guys are pounding some good beer (PBR?) and fancy pants bourbon as I type. prolly 7 or so years ago I day visited you fuckin fucks on my Valkyrie, got to see some old friends. my own cromag time was up in maine way before, and I also got to ride with some of you to Barrage Gouin and back 20 years ago. retired 2 years now, today I was riding around Vermont with my good friend Brian, trying to put in a couple hundred miles on his Volkswagon bug, cause his OL was driving him nutz and he needed to get out of the yard. glorious day. Adv bikes all over the place. figured right away there was a big party goin on in Barnard, so told him about cromag and adv as I experienced it.
retired a couple years now, I didn't really think about signing up, im riding a blue 1300 vstar with fairing now. I am very happy yall got such a great weekend for this. tried to find a dual sport that fit me this year, still looking. and I no longer have the bollocks to camp in the event of frosty nights and 40+ deg days with rain. but since its so nice tomorrow and this weekend im gonna vstar around VT a bit since im fairly close.

That was a great ride!

Great ride with Jim up to Mount Washington and back. Beautiful day with the leaves just starting to change in the North Country. Stopped at the Redstone rocket in Wentworth, NH, then up the Auto Road. Great lunch in Gorham then blasted back to Barnard.
Arrived Friday. Ain't car camping grand!
Ever go to VT but want to visit Italy too? Ransom Tavern got this oven about a year ago & the wild mushroom pie was fantastic.
Took a ride, did some gaps, reflected by the river. Pretty spectacular weekend.
