I am planning a Cross-Country trip for 2011 from D.C. to the west coast.

Any suggestions for places worth seeing?

We are also going to do some National Parks. Any worth seeing?

Please let me know by leaving suggestions!!

Nothing special, stay home. Just a bunch of mountains and deserts with not many people.

I'll be lucky to be alive then, that's why I went the last 3 years.
I was impressed by Mt St Helen's, Lo-Lo Pass, Mt Rushmore, Custer Park, Needles Highway, Monument Valley, Painted desert, Million Dollar Highway, Deadwood, Devil's Tower (walked around this time), Mt Hood, Road to the Sun, Hoover Dam, ect.................

Are you looking for some true dualsport dirty action along the way (with technical difficulty appropriate to the bike size, of course), or mostly or all pavement?
