Tried loading the GPX into my Garmin Zumo XT and it will only load to 99 percent and then stops. Any ideas?? I noticed it doesn't show as a line route when previewed?

If my memory is correct, a gpx file can have either waypoints or track points and some systems treat them differently. I often have to convert between them using clunky conversion tools when a third party track is sent to me.

Which track are you trying to follow? Is it one of that BrassCycle contributed to advcatskills.org? If so I may have converted to the waypoints form already and you could download it from http://www.advcatskills.org/Maps/Tracks/Donated

Starting to think it is a Garmin problem. I could put the track into Rever and it converts it no problem. I put it into my brand new zumo XT and it says track memory is full even though I have tons of space left. I think this Garmin going back.

Ok I got it to work. I went into basecamp and increased the amount of points from 500 to 1000. I then reinstalled the GPX file. Still takes a while to calculate but it works. Must be a very intense file

Can't seem to figure out how to post, so I'll ask the question here.
Planning a ride from Narrowsburg NY, out about 50+ miles with 2 newbies.
Does anyone know how much paved road there is going west from Narrowsburg NY.
One guy us on a big ass 1250 GS, a Starbucks garage queen. Another one on a Beta 2 stroke.
    Thanks for any help.

20% Tarmac (as blacktop, asphalt) to 80% dirt ratio - I'm estimating 20%-80%.

@CannonsvilleRider I noticed that the CPAT on advcatskills.org stops in Kelletville in the Allegheny NF, but the first post here shows it continuing on to Erie. Do you have any plans to update the GPX file so that it is the end-to-end route?

Does anyone have suggestions as to likely overnight locations to plan for camping traveling east to west? We are figuring 4 days and will be at the start in the morning, so day 1 will be a full riding day. All suggestions welcome.

On CVRs library of tracks it shows this track with what appears to be a significant amount of dirt in one form or another.

Both bikes will do just fine, there are no technical sections on the east side of the state, (there are 2-3 in Alleghany SF) also, there are no Starbucks either :)
