Hey folks! I am planning a road trip from CT to NC and back. I am looking for suggestions for the upcoming trip.

Here is the super broad itinerary:

Day 1: CT to East Stroudsburg, PA
    - Lodging: friend’s house.

Day 2: East Stroudsburg, PA to Front Royal, VA
    - Lodging: ??? Need suggestions for cheap motocamping spot. ???

Day 3: Front Royal, VA to Burnsville, NC
Lodging: Albert's Lodge at Mt. Mitchell

Day 4 & Day 5: exploring Burnsville and surrounding area.
    Lodging: Albert’s Lodge

Day 6 & 7: Burnsville back to East Stroudsburg, PA.
    - Lodging: ??? Need suggestions for cheap motocamping spot. ???

Day 8: East Stroudsburg, PA to CT.

    Goals:
    - No more than 400 miles per day
    - Minimal to no highway
    - Twisty fun roads
    - Recommendation for unique places to stop along the way?

Any and all help is very appreciated!

Can you route in Seneca Scenic Highway thru WV/Va?
Day 3 is thru my”area” and that’s a long day. For me it’s two days on a bike down Skyline Dr and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We're planning on doing two days from pa to Burnsville, NC. Is the Seneca Scenic Highway better than the BRP up in NOVA?

As mentioned, Day 3 from Front Royal to Mt. Mitchell may be 400 miles but if taking the SLD/BRP I can't see it as a day ride. SLD is 35 and BRP 45. Neither, imo, is a road to make time on. In VA there is no gas on BRP. Over in WV is a totally different game. Great riding but seems a little out of your way. Have fun.

I've done front Royal to Cherokee in a day on four occasions. That said, we can always consider staying somewhere a bit south of front Royal. Lots of flexibility...

I can make it from Front Royal to my house in Fancy Gap VA in a long day on the BRP/SLD obeying the speed limit. Seneca Scenic route exactly that, an alternative and a bit faster.
