1. Hey everyone, We’re going to start a weekly email to surface interesting threads in the forums. No worries, you can easily unsubscribe if you don’t find it interesting. If you’re like me, it’s nice to have someone willing to poke around a big community like ours and find the most interesting stuff. Saves time and I hate missing something great. It worked really well when we had someone discovering the best photos for the home page rotation back in the day. And if you have something fascinating to post, maybe this email does everyone some good by getting it noticed. Let us know what you think when you get it. Your feedback will make it better as we go (thread). Thanks! Baldy & rudy1220

    2 projects cooking:pot

Things are getting too muddled up in the Nighthawk and the light of day thread...

    Better give the Honda CX650 it's own:queenie

    Progress will be rather slow.

    First in, first out.
The Nighthawk showed up first (but had some standstills before)

I picked this project up from a guy that kept it in a spare room in his 4th story appartment. His new girlfriend liked it as a proper room better.
Build at least 7 bikes before. Clearly parted with it with hartache:raabia
Said it had good compression and he had already put pod filters on, put a new swing arm on and relocated the ignition.

This is how it first caught my attention on the Dutch version of Craiglist.

Foxed101 - So, are you go all out WayLong on us? :jive

Kind of digging the CX's the more I look at them... :type

    All out WayLongWay?:eek2
I think my plans tend to have WayLongWayian proportions.
    But me not so smart:loco
Good thing WLW advises me on practicality and feasability:ear:hmmmmm:pope

And I certainly lack the skills WLW has.

The forks and wheels were swapped with the Nighthawk:robin

The gastank is of a Honda VTR 250.
Stumbled upon a picture on my wreckers site and thought it could compliment the looks of the cylinders :beer

Picked up a Suzuki GT380 seat cheap.
    image.jpeg
That might get cut up and used.
    Weighs a ton though:lift

But not nearly as much as the alternative seat-'o-log:hung

Although I hate the way you ride a scooter (nothing to control between your knees)

I hand it to the girl, she has nice brake and grip control.
MX style: 2 fingers on it :mad?

My driving school owner will hate me for this remark.

@Beezer just took the crown of ideas on a grand scale:queenie

What he posted in WLW's thread is so far beyond my skill set and comfort zone... Would never have thought of that.

    Hats off to you Beezer!

To quote myself when Sean suggested getting a chainsaw to cut that piece of wood up good...

    Appriciate the kind whippin':bueller

I cut my teeth on a nasty tree trunk in the front yard. Just to get a feel what this puppy does.
    (Needs more chainsaw though:D)

Need to get the gastank and seat from my dads place next. Would be a shame if the seatpan would look decent in it's own right. But not flow with the tank and seat:zilla

You should make the tank out of wood too. :nod

    Building is on my mind
But fysical injury prohibits actually doing stuff...

    So I imagine

The Log-o-Seat could have been good, but went bad
    IMG_0242.JPG

So what could the seat look like if I started with a blank canvas and do it out of sheet metal?

    IMG_0237.jpg

What you can draw is not always what you can make

    IMG_0243.JPG

Let’s see if I can make this out of paper
