You’re more than welcome to stop by Friday after four and talk about it. BYOB but burgers are provided.

That was scary but great. How does the knee feel today? Great to hear you laughing.

    Wow.

Started this adventure by proxy around 2 weeks ago, without knowing any spoilers. Went in with my own preconceptions and came out with a multitude of thoughts and introspection.

Firstly - thanks @danimal for your transparent, honest and amazing report. I can only echo all the other comments about content, style, photography, nuance. Really had me captivated. The reposting of pics emphasized the magnitude of the journey you have been on.

Like all great writing, made me ask questions of myself - a real newcomer to the world of motorcycles and ADV.
    - How to increase my mileage, with the familiar constraints of a corporate job, house, family, dogs, bills?
    - How to better lead my life and inspire my (young) twins to be the best they can?
    - How to shed those preconceptions and biases and spread peace and love?
The post-travel blues are similar feelings from my own (moto-less) travels - multiple trips Romania in the early 2000s, living in South Africa, even a 5 day business trip to India - new cultures, sights, senses but especially people create a lasting impression.

Some questions for you, if you don't mind:

    - Women - you posted a few times about women who had been part of the journey, but did any captivate/massage/break your heart? Finding fellow travellers is one thing, but wondering if you made a different connection with anyone?
    - Back home - has being back home spurred any specific thoughts about how society, or you, could change for the better? What ideals from your travels should we be trying to incorporate in our daily lives?
    - Cycle N/S/E/W - if money, health, COVID were not issues - where would your next ultimate trip be? Indian Himalayas would be a dream for me.

Thanks again for your story and hoping you get well soon.

Just back into the connected world and agree with @Sunday Rider. Great to hear you laughing, even if your dad wasn’t thrilled with what made you laugh. Two Wheels Baby!

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve been busy back at home in Ohio hanging out with friends and not paying much attention to online.
Not sure what to say. Your words deeply touched me and I’m happy that there was content that you enjoyed. I’ll insert short concise answers above to individual questions.
    Much love

Btw, both times I tried linking the June issue of Traverse magazine, it was booted by the mods as spam.
My article is in that issue. Check it out!

I returned back to Woody’s house in Denver after midnight last night due to the many flight delays. It felt oddly nice being “home”.
and there was a package waiting for me from Jim and Carol McWhirter !! (@JimsBeemer ) who I met down near Ushuaia, and they had their RR here as well.
And what a nice gift. It literally made me cry. They remembered my infatuation with a certain chocolate bar in Argentina and set me up and then some.
    check it out

(Sorry Jim, one Block 300 bar was inhaled immediately lol)

    TWO different Dulce de leche!!!
THREE Block 300 milk chocolate and peanut bars
    A box of Havana chocolates!!

and a wonderful card and picture.

    I’m speechless

so happy to hear your mobile. 14 years serious chronic pain for me. attitude and mental exercises are the key to not constantly losing your shit.opiods are worthless for longer than a week.tolerance will surpass any help they provide. 3 days on 3 days off will work better than daily use. pregablin (lyrica) will help with sleep and nerve issues. Tylenol+ibuorofen+ ephedrine based antahistimine+anti diarhea will stop 80-90% of opiod withdrawel.
