Breathtaking pictures Dan. My palms were sweating looking at those switchbacks.

Are you sure it was Caro?
I’m pretty sure she flew to Colombia from France, bought her Honda XRE300 in Colombia and has been riding south from Colombia.....[/QUOTE]
Not her, the French girl who I met in Mexico was on DR650, and was only a month ago, I should of got a picture, quite a good adventurer, she flew in from Quebec to meet her ride and had been crisscrossing NA to Alaska, down west coast across Mexico to Palanque and eventually Usahia. I came up upon her in some twisties and thought it was a local hauling some stuff, including a gas can roped on top. We met up at the next Pemex and swapped a few stories, she going into Guatemala and me on to San Cristobel de la Casas. It always amazing the people who you run into, on short stops and little conversations, but lasting forever.

Oh ya, Peru is my favorite country to ride, I don't know your route but hopefully you plan on going through Pallasca, and Caraz. In one of my return rides, to Peru I stayed in the Andes for 30 days, my left big toe was black and blue from all the shifting.

I was unaware there were that many dragons in Peru.

Not sure of the brand, but it fit my criteria. Steel, No welds or fasteners holding it together, and was pre-drilled for a Givi plate. It's holding up very well!

How much weight total do you think you have on it? How thick is it, 1mm, 2mm?

Great to hear it has no cracks and such.

I’m carrying a lot of weight on it. A plastic Givi base plate and an aluminum Givi Trekker Outback top case. And it’s filled with stove food cooking supplies maps documents. Never weighed it but it’s heavy.
    A quality rack for sure

    Thanks for the feedback!
I bet you have 40+lbs up there.
Sounds great that it has worked so with that. Sounds like they are using some quality metal in there. You eased my fears of the build quality.

Yeah, it’s the first thing to come off before trying to pick her up when she’s taking a nap. The Givi case pops off easily.

You might consider a Pelican case for the WRR... I found this one used on Ebay for ~$60. Its just bolted to an aluminum plate attached to the subframe mounts via spacers. I beat the hell out of it on the COBDR , IDBDR and BOM rides....no problems.
