Champe, with respect for your good intentions, the info you're sharing re. chloroquine is incomplete.... the last thing we need during this crisis is for people to start taking powerful drugs based on something they heard the US President say. Dont' want to gum up Dan's thread with political opinions-- but no matter how you feel about the current president, safe to say that this is definitely a time to be paying far more attention to medical professionals than to politicians. Here is a perspective in an article that explains the current chloroquine situation a bit more, hopefully not behind a paywall:
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/busi...-changer-coronavirus-fda-says-it-needs-study/

Hang in there Dan! Your report helps keep everyone reading it a little bit less alone, no matter where they are in these troubled times : )

No worries. The info given was done so in good faith and stashed away in my memory banks. I wasn’t about to run to a Farmacia and stock up. I’m fact I’m trying hard to lay low.
And as far as being political, I’ve said it time and again. I’m an old liberal peace and love Hippie. There is little the current President has done that impresses me at any level. He’s the same man all thinking people knew he was before he was elected.

I had a thought about a year ago.

Oh, I guess I should express it.
I wondered if there might be work for you in your field of experience with a company in (enter name of country) that does business in USA. I figured it might be more important to have someone dealing with Americans that spoke American as a first language that could also communicate with the home office, instead of the other way around.

With this incredible monkey wrench messing with everyone throughout the world I think you might have tripped your way into your income. A motorcycle ride to S.A. is awesome on it's own, but like the lunar landings it's become routine. Your trip stands apart from the others. From the first attempt with your gut trying to take you down, to bike repairs, to this crazy pandemic! I'm telling you Dan, Hollywood needs this. We scruff up Brad Pitt and bingo, a block buster...when the theatres open again.
Hang in there man, we're all looking forward to your triumphant ride north.

On a lighter note, my friend Sam Lang (rode with us a while to Ushuaia and north to BA and then shipped his bike back to the UK where he began a new career as an Engineer on a private yacht) sent me some pics from our travels and said it’d be fine to post them here.

I thought it refered to the sails. Sailors would get drunk and not tie them off properly. Capt would wake up to find all the main sails flapping. 3 sheets to the wind.

I learn so much on Advrider. All these years when I heard that I pictured someone drunk and tangled in 3 bed sheets of blowing laundry hanging on a clothesline. :lol3

In my book a caipirinha doesn't have egg whites, a pisco sour does. But perhaps there's a caipirinha version that has "espuma".

I am not as well traveled as some of you folks, but i have head several dozen caipirinhas in 5 different cities in Brazil and none of them had egg whites. This is a new one to me.

I hope your friends have a full recovery.
People working in healthcare being constantly exposed to people are our modern day saviors, along with those working in grocery stores keeping the shelves stocked.
    They deserve our utmost respect.

nothing new to report other than a little hangover from the cheap vodka last night. We finished the whole bottle. Olaf with Pepsi, me with OJ. Ooofffff. Things got very emotional at times. It’s a good thing though, seeing as how we’ll be spending some quality quarantine time together in the coming weeks.
Today I was planning on getting the broken brace on my gas tank repaired. Problem is, all shops that do welding near me are shuttered.
So today’s big plan is to do laundry. Yay.
