Since this Monty Python allusion appeared, I'll share my own: Ohio_Danimal's stay in Brazil seemed to me not unlike the confinement of Sir Galahad in, "Castle Anthrax." As in the movie, he has now been, "rescued:"

I'd be happy with just fuel injection on the DR, no other changes. Up grades to the suspension, etc. are in abundance already. Keep the price low, as it is, and let the customer do upgrades as he/she sees fit. :ricky

Does Sunny travel all the way to Houston just like that on that ship? You should have applied for a job as a deck hand! LOL

I can totally understand tearing up over those photos, but isn’t it amazing that you are living in an age where having photos sent to you electronically is no big deal. It’s great that Lorenzo is documenting what he can and keeping you informed. Safe travels to Sunny and to you.
When you get settled in the Denver area may I recommend you checking out Vail Summit Orthopeadic? They have done wonders for my sciatica as well as my wife’s torn up knees. And you get to ride in the mountains getting to your appointment. Just don’t take I-70 the whole way.

Danimal, I am going through your journeys. Finished 20 pages so far. The pics and your writing are exciting. My longest trip was 19 days from NW Ohio to CA via US 50 then up the PCH to Newport, OR and back to Ohio via US 20. 6567 miles. Beautiful solo trip. Looking forward to continuing the virtual journey with you.

Such an honor to be the recipient of your first post on ADV!! And thank you for the kind words too. Your trip sounds like a lot of fun miles. Maybe we can have a beer some day.

Another stressful morning, but it ended in success.
As I have been working with Ramiro at B&M Logistics on the bike shipment, I have been dreading the payment end. This is because it requires a wire transfer.
Both of my bank accounts I manage using iPhone apps. Neither app allows for wire transfers!
To make matters worse, I can’t place international calls with my cell and rely on email for communication.
Neither banks has email Customer Service. Uggghh.
And this morning I received the invoice to pay.
So I thought I’d log in with my tablet, as there may be more functionality than with the apps.
Problem is, the keyboard on my tablet fried, so I’m using a small handheld BT keypad which is hard to use. Ugggghhh
Finally I was able to get in touch with a Charles Schwab CS person by live chat. They helped me greatly.
Money has been wired and confirmed by MY bank.
Now I wait for their confirmation of receipt.
    Whew!!!!

Once confirmed, next step is booking a flight for me to Florida. There, Luiz Carlos Honorio has a Son living there who will pick me up and give me a place to stay a few days while I book a flight to Texas and maybe book an Airbnb room near the port in Galveston.
Then his Son will get me to the airport for the flight to TX.

    Slowly obstacles are falling.

    Check out his vehicle!

Whoa! I must be reading that Marine Traffic page wrong... there are actually 229,000 routes run a year in the dark red? Or is that K as in kilometers?

I no mathy so well, but that seems like a lot of ships. L
