Why do I suspect the guy up in the tree is collecting something a trifle more exotic than pine cones?

Bring it in with a worthy offering, a Soul Sacrifice.

I like your choices in tires! My Heidenau Scouts were great, I got about 8k miles on them. I put the Mitas E07 Dakars on for the next ride. Think I will try the Motoz for the next set of tires.

The Dakar is for heavier bikes. Much stiffer sidewall. Heavier weight. Harder to mount and dismount. Not needed for the DR.

The 130 width Scout doesn’t have the connected center tread like the other Scouts. Much more knobby-like, and grilled great in the deep ripio in Argentina

Dan, I know that through your eyes many people saw countries, places, people, and things they never would have. You have a broken leg, it will get better, and you will be back taking pictures again.

I broke my leg riding my bicycle in Solvang just outside Santa Barbara a few years ago, the Ortho hammered a rod down the bone and said I would be good to go, he was mostly right, it still bothers me, I don't have the full range of motion in that knee, but life goes on.

Please do not skip the PT, what they do often hurts, but that is only temporary. To repeat Lance Armstrong, when he was trying to come back from cancer, "Pain is temporary, but quitting lasts forever"

Yeah, I put it, the 150 Scout, on my loaded KTM 990 and loved it. The Dakar is on my Husky TE630. Both tires are a beast to mount, with the tough sidewalls, I did it in my garage just to see if it was possible on the trail, in some backwater place, it is possible but I let others do it if I can!

I find it very hard to believe that you can ride to the Southern tip of the Americas and back only to be taken out by Javalina in TX? What's with that, life sucks at times but, your trip down memory lane with the pictures is great therapy for you and we all enjoy it too!

Unless they grow them bigger in TX, the AZ javelina don't really look big enough to take a moto with a rider out.

Get well, and back out there soon!

The Fish and Game warden who was on the scene, and dispatched one of the two that was still alive, said they were about 80lbs each.
Dunno how that is on the scale. Never seen one before this

So, you don't have them in the mid-West.

AZ javelina run about the same for a full-grown adult.

And from the rifle sight image, you hope to never see another, unless you have em in your sights!

A fun therapeutic idea. You'll heal up. You'll make some coin. So where to next?

Well, appointment with a Dr. Bravman made. The earliest he could see me is the 15th.
Ran into an issue where several other orthopaedic specialists recommended to me wouldn’t accept any more Medicaid patients, so I had to go looking a bit.
The surgeon in Texas will be sending over my records prior to that first visit.
One less thing to worry about.
