    Oh, I was there.
My habit is to avoid crowds =
Rolled Into big D on 13th June, cleared out 14th, had the road to myself.
Was more people in Chicken that weekend than Dawson.

    Sounds like my story...
Was having fun with one of the local girls during the biker games as I was announcing. I was trying to get her to ride on the back of one of the riders bikes, and was flirting hard with her to get her to agree. One of the guys heard me talking to her and asked me the next day how things went with the girl I was talking to and I told him that the next morning we really knocked boots, did all kinds of kinky stuff... He looked at me with a surprised look on his face and asked, "you got her to go back to your room?", and I said... No, she wasn't there...!:rofl:lol3:rofl

This was a common view on the way from Dawson to Tok. Three Bears had the requisites for a carb cleaning and all was rose petals and rainbows (and hailstorms and big ass trailers) from then on.

It had a tiny blorp of water rolling about inside the bowl, which resisted being flushed out via the drain. It was jusssst enough to make the motor cut out over 1/2 throttle. Removing the carb is easy enough and I should have done that first, instead of spending time ruling out either a jetting or fuel delivery problem. Live and learn.

*Hail "storm" exaggerated for dramatic effect*

ADV stories are like fish stories, as far as I can tell. There were no rose petals either :cry

hey guys! Sure enjoyed my first Dawson trip. What a great bunch of people to hang out with. I am a little bit of a social recluse, but while in Dawson I realized that I just need to be around a bunch of bad ass people and I have zero problems talking and meeting new people. Needless to say I am sold. Can someone let me know where I can find the midnight pic. Thanks, and stay safe.
