a few of us rode up to Dawson on our HDs the week after D2D to avoid the crowd, on our way back south we came across a fella in Pelly Crossing that was having trouble getting back on his BMW GS. he explained he was at D2D and had a minor crash during the poker rally but caught his leg under his pannier blowing out his knee. he had stayed in Dawson for an extra week to try and recover, and had nothing but good things to say about the organizers and locals helping him out with crutches and getting around while he was laid up. we helped steady his bike so he could get back on, and rode south with him helping him again in Carmacks when he again stopped for fuel. we parted ways in Whitehorse where he was going to get a room and soak his knee, we were heading to Teslin to camp for the night.

not sure if this is the place to ask, but looking thru some pictures I was reminded of the day and was wondering if the fella made it all the way home ok and has recovered from his knee injury. he was in his 50's or so, riding a silver GS.

thank you, glad to hear he made it ok. could tell he was in some pretty serious discomfort trying to bend his knee to clear the top case while climbing on. is he an inmate?
