Spent the last 3 days in Whitehorse, 2 nights camping at High Country RV park where we met several other riders on their way to Dawson City. Tom and I went on a wee adventure on Sunday and rode the South Canol Road from Johnsons Crossing to Ross River. Lots of fun until it started to rain about 100 kilometres in This is not a road you want to ride in the rain! It took over 2.5 hours to ride the last 100kms in slippery-as-snail-snot mud on a steep cliff-edge, high pucker-factor road - but hey, that's another one off the list! All told it took us 13 hours to ride the loop from Whitehorse and we were quite cold and tired when we got back. theshnizzle was sleeping soundly, tucked into her sleeping bag. Smart rider that one. Paying attention to the weather and all. . . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good morning inmates! I just wanted to thank you all for the valuable info posted on this thread. It's provided the spark to get me going on the trip of a lifetime and become my go to step by step guide. Having said that, I am currently in Dawson Creek making my way north and hoping to meet up with you soon. Look for the black Ninja 650 with Ontario plates and say hello. Mitz.
Tom and I rode from Whitehorse yesterday, unsure of whether we were going to ride right to Dawson City or maybe make a detour / side trip up to Mayo and Keno City. The pictures tell the story, Said to be haunted, we stayed here last night Downtown Keno City At the signpost, feeling groovy An abandoned cabin on top of Sign Post Hill The BEST pizza in the Yukon - Mike's Pizza! Tom, theshnizzle and I are all in Dawson City now - at the Bunkhouse.

It would have been neat if this new show was premiered in Dawson City......maybe it is and not mentioned? http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/movies/la-et-mn-dawson-city-review-20170615-story.html
It's very cold in the am here. Getting dressed in my sleeping bag is practically a gynastic workout. Lots of Vsitups to put on various...and several!...garments. A hot tea and my down blanket help make it less painful.
Hey Mitz it was great to meet you man - I gotta say I'm thrilled that this thread inspired your adventure- and on a Ninja, no less! Awesome brother. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had a rough time at my campsite in the Prairies. Tent and tarp already gone in this pic. Was hit on the head by a falling tree branch. The wind came up QUICK!
I was very lucky the bike didn't blow over. It was facing in the right direction. I will most likely do a trip report in a bit so I will save for there. I'm not home yet. A few more days. I'm tired. Ima gettin'to old for this s**t!
When I first looked at the pic I thought, what nice trees to hang a hammock. Then read your post... That could have been a disaster.
