    About 50 miles I believe and significant dirt roads. I saw a guy on a Sportster do it in dry weather.

    I'd book a room or campsite now... Camping is available close to the Triple J at the Goldrush Campground, although it is a gravel / sandy lot. Bunkhouse is good, reasonable prices and close by as well.

    Book a room now. Most of the motels/hotels are closed for the winter and the owner/operators live somewhere else. Most have a website and or voicemail, but it may be quite awhile before they get back to you.
