Pat replied to my email request so I guess I'll be camping there. Thanks, Dick!

You will be amongst comrades, oh sorry, from California, not amongst commies, that's us Canadians!

    Public Service Announcement:

I just spoke with Pat @ Goldrush Campground and he said they still have 15 hook up sites and some dry sites. He noted that if you want to get in you should email or call the office and leave your number. They are out of town now so leave a message and he'll get back to you. Yo @Curtis76 we have a site for the 19-22nd reserved.

I'm booked at Goldrush for June 19, 20 and 21. @The Dick do you think they'll let 2 bikes/tents in on a dry site? I forgot to ask when I made my reservation, and when I watched @Colemanfu 's video I saw multiple self-erected temporary shelters on dry sites near the entrance.

I asked Pat this morning and he said it was perfectly ok to have 2 bikes in one dry camp spot.

    Thanks, @thirsty 1.

I was there twice last year. I arrived early on the 16th of June and the place was booked, but I was invited by other bikers to set up on their site and the owners were very welcoming. I then lit out for a few days to Inuvik and returned half a day late and lost my reserved site for the D2D event, and again was offered a shared space. As long as someone is willing to share, the owners hate turning someone away, really great people.

Dick, I do know The Griz, it has been cool here, but nothing like the crap you endure on a daily basis.

Correct, just trying to be nice to a California guy, don’t think they make Malbecs, but great old vine Zins and the body just has to suffer some abuse from the master on occasion. Just learned a real life lesson, you sure as hell don’t drink wine of any kind in Thailand!

Well I want to know where to sign up for the race!

"Welcome summer with a picnic at the top of the Dome in Dawson City, then cheer on riders in the Dust 2 Dawson motorcycle race along the Dempster Highway."

It's lifted from this Travel Yukon page:

I've already emailed them with a verbal spanking :nono

OMG! I think as soon as you get hired by the government it is mandatory that you go in for the operation to remove essential segments of your brain!
