Well, the sign-ups are a bit slow this year, and it’s not like we actually have to participate in the race, so why not. Winner gets a lifetime free pass to future D2Ds (just pay an extra fee and handling charges).

Can't wait. This event has been on my bucket list for years. Was in Dawson as part of the Alcan 5000 Rally in 2006 and can't wait to go back! See you there!

    Phew.

I will say, I triple checked it. Figured I might have to wear a dunce hat or something if I screwed it up.

In defense of others who may not get it right, the instructions say:
    2. Hit "New Reply" button (no, not the "quote" button).

On my screen (using website) there is no "new reply" button. I just cut and paste and put it in the "Your brilliant reply here box" at the bottom, crossed my fingers, and hit the "Post Reply."

For someone of my below average intellectual ability it did take me a minute to figure it out.

When do people normally show up/head out for this event? Am I wise to come in the day before and leave the day after?

Many of the people coming from Alaska stay in Tok on Wednesday night and hit Dawson in the afternoon on Thursday. Many others arrive in Dawson on Wednesday. The Eagle Claw campground in Tok attracts many riders. It is a motorcycle focused campground. Those coming just for D2D tend to leave on Saturday, but there will be others that hang around or head up the Dempster. Do what floats your boat.

It will be wise, then, to actually sign-up over on the sign-up thread.

Can anyone who knows this region provide info on the South Canol Road? I kind of want to try it on the way to D2D. Started a post here.

Secondly hope Fighter will not be too displeased with me for applying some serious race stripes to one of the bags he sold me!!!

    To Khuddy/Whom it may concern
I've been trying to sign up for 4 of us from California and I haven't had much luck
(I copied and pasted the instruction along with the next number and name)
Is there someone that can show me how to sign up?
I thought I followed the instructions correctly, but apparently I didn't?
I have already booked rooms in Dawson City and we were going riding for
a few weeks in Canada and Alaska this June and wanted to hit up the Rally

Well at Least My Failed sign up got some attention
I've been running a Construction company for over 45 years
with over 20 people, to learn that I still don't know how to sign
    up for a Rally?
I would still like to get some advice on how to sign up?
If I can't get any help then we will just show up and deal with it
