Hey the left bag took a beating, but other than the slide marks it is repairable. Going into work took my exit then I am being tended to by medics. By the broken collar bone I think I highsided and the bike slide across two or three lanes. Surprising little damage to the bike. Gonna need new hinges that’s for sure. Will advise when in Anchorage. Most likely first week August.

Bsmjohn, Looks like you are signed up. You owe each Pterodactyl two beverages for screwing up the post and three for calling D2D a rally. So there we have it... an even half dozen drinks for all.

The farkles are supposed to be installed on the BIKE, not the rider.... hope that doesn't keep you down too long!

Roggy has raised the bar on screwing up a post on the D2D sign-up thread. Hey Roggy, how about deleting your posts, they are distracting; I have you signed-up. You need to just show-up with a couple of kegs, a case of scotch for me and a cheap bottle of fru-fru French wine for The Dick.

There must be video of your wreck somewhere, but in this case I guess even without pictures it did happen. Heal quickly.

Talk about a small world. Cruising through town I spy a fully loaded BMW 1150. I pull up to have a chat and there are D2D stickers all over this bike and he proceeds to tell me that he bought it from one of the D2D organizers. The one and only Mr. Dick. I wish I had more time to chat.

Just signed up. Heading up from Kansas City. I stayed in Dawson City one night in 2011 on my AK trip. Looking forward to spending more time there. Got lucky and snagged a room at the Bunkhouse for Thursday and Friday.

Is the poker run GSA friendly assuming dry conditions? It's a low version but still a pig.

Can you tell me the road name/numbers? I've seen the road games and street games you guys play up there. Don't want to get stuck on something like the Dempster with a trash can full of golf balls thrown in. :muutt

Dick's house, the golf balls that really pissed me off the whole previous year and there is a lot of them! Bonanza, upper Bonanza, Klondike, Dome, Hunker Creek, 5th Ave, Pterodactyl Lane, Eldorado Creek Bridge!

As of today, and looking back to approx the same day each year, it looks like we are well ahead of 2018 but not yet approaching the 25th's Numbers! Looking forward to my second gathering!

Interesting. I’m not sure that the sign-up thread is an accurate projection of actual attendance. Maybe fodder for a joint Canadian/American extravagantly expensive research project.

I’m not sure why the sign-up thread even still exists. I know why it once did but for many years now unless, as some like to deny, this actually is a 'rally' it seems pointless.
No one has to sign up. Show up or don't.

I believe the list is to give the "Non-Rally Organizers" a hint of projected attendance to ensure sufficient Tee-Shirts, Stickers and Vittles are on hand.

Tom has been whooping on the “It’s a Rally” dead-horse for quite a long time. But the evidence is irrefutable.... D2D is not a rally. If it were a rally, then half the people who regularly attend would be banned.
