    Hello D2D Vet's.

    First timer here.

I have a choice to make... should I do the Dempster before D2D? Or after...?

If I do it before, then hangovers are no issue.

If I do it after- will it be busy?- is it "a thing" to D2D first and then go to Tut?

    Thanks for your insights.

    According to Google...…….

Here is a rundown on hangover remedies ...….in no particular order:
    • Hair of the dog....
    • Drink fluids....(which could include alcohol??)...seems counter-productive as it gave you the hangover to begin with??
    • Get some carbohydrates into your system....
    • Avoid darker-colored alcoholic beverages....
    • Ask The Dick to change your tires...….but brace yerself.
    • Take a pain reliever, but not Tylenol....
    • Drink coffee or tea....
    • Vitamin B6...….
    Hope to see ya there...…..mark444

I've done the run up the Dempster twice before the d2d once in 2010 and again in 2019. I like the idea of doing it before as you meet lots of other riders on the Dempster and then you get to meet up with them again at d2d and discuss the ride.

I made it from Florida up to D2D back in 2018, it was the trip of a lifetime and a totally life altering experience. Can't make this years effort but I will be back!

I did want to share 2 vids I made from the event to give the first timers a little look.
*In the spirit of full disclosure I drove my van to a long distance moto event :fpalm

If you have any hesitation about traveling solo don't worry. I turned up not knowing a single person and as you can see from the vid I was greeted immediately upon pulling into town by the local D2D committee and welcome with open arms and left with some life long friendships!

Dick, it is unseemly for a resident of Dawson City to pule and whine about snow. You don’t hear me bleating about our sunny day with a chilly 8C high temperature. Suck it up buttercup.

Oh, McKuddy, memory of days past of the two weeks of -50 mid Jan followed by warming and endless smothering snow, patience just a little thin, sorry for being so weak, I know it is unseemly!

Are you trying to add only one name or are there others? Let me know the names you wish to add and I will add them, if you prefer.

Just feeling all soft and gooey inside. TomS said there is no purpose to the sign-up thread and that I would be spending my time making corrections and complaining when people screw up. That hit me right in the heart and I decided there will be an all new KHud. I want to be kinder, more gentle, and act with compassion and empathy towards others.... except for that fucker Tom.
