I'm sure a "call out" to all those interested in headed to Tuk could be announced during the steak dinner Friday night. An after dinner planning session could be held. As the D2D gathering grows, it is easy to miss connections.

I'm in the before D2D camp but I see the logic of doing it after.

I’m planning and prepped to do it just before. That said, my launch point is Dawson City and if conditions warrant, I can hold off and go after. Bottom line is I am riding my bike to the Arctic Ocean in 2018.

If the weather is perfect, there's no dust or mud, the gravel is smoothly graded, I can find a motel room with good wifi for $23, and I can get a coffee every 50 miles I'm planning on heading up before or after D2D.

    I'm precious

I may be up for joining the group headed North after D2D. Assuming you've got room for another GSA from Kenai....I usually bring along some American Whiskie....for sharing.

I'll be in that group. As of now, I dont think there is much of an organized group but I'm sure groups will organize during the D2D. Too big of a group and I could see dust becoming an issue in dry weather.

If it's dry, I might be up for a delayed departure if I can stay away from my office a bit longer. I'll have to check with my ride buddies from Kenai, and see if any of them are up for the extra trip as well.

It looks like the procession from the Kenai Peninsula is mostly up for hitting the dempster prior to D2D.

Those seeking true "adventure" are taking the ride up to Inuvik, and farther up to Tuk.....before the D2D.

Those riding up AFTER the D2D will find an obstacle course of fallen over R12GSA's, littering the Dempster Highway, adding to the things one has to watch out for on that road. :p3rry:ricky:p3rry:ricky:p3rry:ricky

Life is a gamble, a risk, so plan to attend the D2D...AFTER having ridden to TUK. :ricky

Besides, for all you cheap bastards, there is FREE lunch :dukegirl in TUK on June 19th. Be there, or starve. :jack

I’m riding up before so that when my GS breaks down I’ll have more bikes coming up that hopefully will let me ride bitch back to Dawson on.

The way I ride the axels will snap and nothing short of a flatbed will get the bike off the road. In that case due to cost and hassle the bike will stay where she lays and become part of the history of the Dempster.

I had a relaxing day yesterday and was in the mood for some tewster2 videos...it got me to thinking how awesome it would be for Tewster2 and alcan rider to tag-team the Dempster all the way to Tuk and perform their cinematography magic on that road both in its natural beauty and it’s cultural offerings. Ferry crossings, the Arctic Ocean, native villages, I can see Nat Geo written all over it.
