For what it's worth, InReach is not a bad piece of hardware investment if you ride alone in the bush, and monthly plan option is much better than the SPOT offers...
Personally I'm pretty happy with a potential for single-rider option as getting a team of equally matched riders available to do the event has always been a challenge.

Have you done the DACRE on your TDub? Is it capable?

If you complete Dacre in any class on a TW200 you deserve an award or free admission.

    +1 :stupid :imaposer

I wouldn't dare show up to that event on a Tdub...
Maybe maybe maybe Bronze... But even then. Not for me.

You would have to ride the Tdub on the ragged edge the entire time. What’s the top speed on them? 110km/hr?

    :hmmmmm
I've finished the Dacre on a 2T bike now.
I wonder if I can finish it on a completely incompetent bike?

I didn't think it was a race...? Don't see too many guys doing 100 km/h through the bush. Curious why top speed would matter.

    OUCH...
Just picked up a second Beta last night. A beauty Evo200. No more Gassers for me.

You still on one of those TPi bikes that are always breaking down? :amazon

    Top speed doesn't matter.
    Average speed does.
Maintaining the required average speeds for Dacre on a Tdub would be challenging for most riders.
