Drop me a PM if you wind up overnighting in Prince George - lots of lawn for tenting, plus a couple spare rooms if you need a break from the great outdoors... and the bears ;)

@GISdood - That could potentially work - will depend on how good my progress is Day 1. I'll keep you posted.

Subscribed and looking forward to your RR. This trip is in my plans for next year, but not Tuk. And I intend on exploring the PNW and Banff/Jasper, and hitting up a few other places not on your route. But I look forward to the insight and places you end up going to.

Same! The more I ride mine, the more I am thinking it’s the perfect bike for me to do a ride like this.

Welp... we've got two major developments!

One: Canada is now free from murderous teenagers. I can go back to worrying about da bears. I'm packing two knives, so it should be fine.

    and Two:

The new fuel sender showed up today, and I think (fingers crossed) it's gonna be a winner. The float, erm... floats, and it seems to be less prone to getting stuck at the top than the old one, even after I expertly modified it.

Here's to hoping that was the only technical glitch I have to deal with. (Yeah, right... it's a KTM...)

Now that the bike is buttoned up, I'm starting the packing process. This is mostly everything, already:

    We're getting close!

Packed and prepped. All I gotta do is roll it out of garage and thumb the starter tomorrow morning.

    15 hours...

IN - love my 1090, but no way my ass could handle those miles. Stock seat?
Good luck and I look forward to your RR.

This time of year they are filling up on "mast" in preparation of winter hibernation. The best "mast" is nuts! Stay in the seat and protect them.

Only 15 minutes late. It'll do.

Now having a snack in Redding, CA with some on and off rain. Biggest rain drops I've ever seen! Looking ominous ahead...

It’s toasty in Redding this time of year, I’d rather have the rain. You’re making really good time! Dang!

Freaky weather here in Redding this weekend! Better than 116° though.

Made it to Vancouver, WA. This motel is a shit hole, but hardly the worst I've stayed in.

Bike says 1,032 miles for today. New personal best!

No more photos from today. It was a damp rest of the day, but only the single stint of heavy rain.

Portland was neat all lit up, and the 5 ain't so bad after Redding.

More words tomorrow - I've got a shorter day planned.

With Vancouver behind you in one day you are off to a great start! We all ride at different paces, but with the long hours of available daylight and traveling by yourself I think you have a very reasonable route-hours, miles per day for your goal. My friends and I enjoyed amazing weather for our 2018 trip and that allowed for every view that was possible to be enjoyed. It is such a vast region one can never see it all in a few weeks, but you are on a perfect bike for the trip and if Mother Nature treats you right you will have so many great memories to wet your appetite for the next run to explore even more of the area.

    Safe riding!
