I did it about 10 years ago on a KLR - go whupped pretty bad on it. Then again, I was with a couple of guys who were expert dual sport riders and I was more of a trail bike guy. Now I'm on a BMW R1200GS - and wondering how that bike would fare on this run if I stuck to the Big Bike sections. Anyone done it on an adventure bike? How'd it go?

    Thanks!

I also rode the DV 350, 10 years ago on this bike.
I have the fork tubes pushed up in the triple clamps to compensate for short legs. (Shorter shock also).
Shitty trail wing tires. The front pushed so bad, I crashed 10 times in the loose sand at Warm Springs. Had arm pump so bad I had to drop out after first day.

you could do it on a GS, I would rather be on a plated dirt bike DVD 014.jpg
