I'll add it to the list.

Hole in the Wall, I was expecting more. Plus, at what I presume was the 5 mile mark, there are still trails but they are marked closed.

    Just found this...

I recently discovered DV and these were from last November. I need to get back there to catch the desert bloom in early spring...

Eastbound on 190 from Panamint Springs, at the far side of the lakebed (east), before you start up toward Towne Pass - there's a dirt road heading north toward the Panamint Sand Dunes. :ricky

Wish I wasn't short handed and getting busy at work. I need to lay down some DV miles and get the CRF to that road again. It beat me when I tried it on the Super Tenere.

How did you fare on Towne Pass?

Looks like you are loaded pretty heavy.

Optical illusion on the load, you're just seeing lightly loaded Wolfman E-12 saddle bags and a tailbag making the bike (WR250R) look loaded. Towne Pass was easy on the bike - driving the class C motorhome, not so much, both directions. Damn, that's a loooonnnnngggggg steep hill, both ways in an RV, two stops on each uphill to let the trany temps settle down and trying to not fry the brakes on the downhills. :yikes

I think I may run the truck out there today. Go conquer Towne Pass. Looks like a sweet ride up through Cottonwood and Marble Canyon.

I was at Marble Canyon, AZ yesterday.

Was this trail mainly canyon running and springs?

Any mining sites along the way?

No Mining sites that we saw but riding in the washes kept us busy.
It's due west from Stovepipe Wells and dead ends to hiking trails. However like most of DV it's well worth the time to explore. I was surprised to find a couple hidden canyons I had not ridden in yet, good times.

Those tires must make riding the gravel a bit more interesting ?
